Volunteers’ Week – Monday 1 – Sunday 7 June 2026
Volunteers are often the unsung stars of communities around the world. Volunteers’ Week gives us a valuable opportunity to recognise and celebrate their extraordinary contribution to society and to the lives of others.
Since retiring, I have met volunteers from many different backgrounds. Time and again, I have found them to be among the most dedicated and caring people—individuals who are deeply committed to doing what is best for their communities.
This week, take time to celebrate your volunteers and all that they have achieved—and will continue to achieve. Every volunteer gives something meaningful back, and every contribution deserves to be recognised.
You may have identified ideas for your celebration, if not, the link below may help.
Volunteers’ Week – (Please click here)
Whatever you decide, do have a wonderful time.
